This tomato sauce is so easy and only has 5 ingredients. You wouldn’t know it by tasting it since it’s so rich and tangy.
28 oz can crushed tomatoes (I prefer Cento brand)
1/4 cup sun-dried tomatoes, drained of oil
2 garlic cloves, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
Put all ingredient except the balsamic vinegar in a saucepan.
Stir and heat on high.
Once sauce starts to bubble, cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
Add balsamic vinegar.
Stir and cook for 2 additional minutes.
Ladle over your favorite pasta.
Season with salt and pepper if desired.
